We cannot live happily by spiritual sustenance alone nor by material prosperity alone. It is only by having ambition and by crowning that ambition with the idea of service to others, either by helping them individually or by working for some great cause, that you will find a spiritual reason for making money for yourself and others. To help others to help themselves also spiritualizes ambition. An Almighty Power has linked us all together. Whenever you help others you are helping yourself.
Efficiency that leads to success is developed through concentration and meditation. The unlimited Creative Principle within you is the source of all art and wisdom. When you want to create something important, sit quietly and meditate deeply upon it. You will be guided by the creative Spirit, but you should also exercise determination in accomplishing your objective. Awaken initiative, which is the creative faculty within you – a spark from the divine Creator You must do something which will show that God’s creative principle is active within you. With unflinching steadiness go forward on your path, knowing that the Infinite Power sustains you.
God cannot hide from the person who gives Him devotion and a real soul-call. Open your eyes to the joy of meditation and all darkness will vanish. The light of faith will user you into the immortal kingdom of our one Father, Worship God in everything and you will find the answers to problems. To make your prayer-demands effective, you must not let your attention go beyond the precincts of the temple of your devotion. Banish indifference, absentmindedness, cold formality, and lackluster feeling. Bring the living Lord of pure joy onto the altar of your heart and worship Him there with flowers of deathless devotion.
