3 Steps to Discovering Your Authentic Self

3 Steps to Discovering Your Authentic Self

Listen: Listen to your “inner voice” or your “gut feeling” it will instantly give you the answers. You know when you feel right or wrong about a person, place or thing instantly and after that first moment you begin to be influenced by the outer which is not the authentic you. It is the you under the influence of the outer world perceptions and beliefs, not your own

Question: Question yourself always. Question why you are feeling what you are feeling, what influences that feeling, what prior experience am I letting influence me? Let all your feelings in good or bad, and surround them with questions until you really feel the true authenticity of your answer and one thing, one decision, one direction will stand out, go with it!

Listen to Your Dreams: You have dreams, aspirations, goals and you inherently know which direction you want to go in. You know who you want to be, where you want to be and who you want it to be with. You have created these thoughts, these dreams and you are the one to unleash them and make them reality. So stay with your Dream Plan because your Dream Plan is your inner self or intuition speaking to you and making an authentic plan for your life

5 More Life Hacks From Gandhi

5 More Life Hacks From Gandhi

Everyone is Human

It’s important to keep in mind that everyone is just a human being no matter who they are. We are all human and prone to make mistakes. Holding people to unreasonable standards will only create more unnecessary conflicts in your world and negativity within you.

Persist

One reason Gandhi as so successful with his method of non-violence was because he and his followers were so persistent. They just didn’t give up. One of the reasons people don’t get what they want is simply because they give up too soon. Success or victory will seldom come as quickly as you would have liked it to.

See the good in people and help them

When you see the good in people it becomes easier to motivate yourself to be of service to them. And the people you help may feel more inclined to help other people. And so you, together, create an upward spiral of positive change that grows and becomes stronger.

Be authentic, be your true self

People seem to really like authentic communication. And there is much inner enjoyment to be found when your thoughts, words, and actions are aligned. You feel powerful and good about yourself. Also, if your actions aren’t in alignment with what you’re communicating then you start to hurt your won belief in what you can do. And other people’s belief in you too.

Continue to grow and evolve

You can pretty much always improve your skills, habits, and re-evaluate. As Gandhi says, drive yourself into a false position. A place where you try to uphold or cling to your old views to appear consistent while you realize within that something is wrong. To choose to grow and evolve is a happier and more useful path to take.

Banish Fear of Death

Banish Fear of Death

You can begin your march toward freedom from the fear of death by ceasing to be attached to the duties of the body: eating, sleeping, exercising, and so on. Perform your duty to the body with joy but with non attachment. More and more you will realize this truth, that man is a soul, but has a body; you will no longer dread parting with the fleshly garment. Attachment to the body is self-inflicted torture brought on by ignorance.

Death gives new roles to actor-souls so that they may play in new dramas on the stage of life. The sage who has developed his inner spiritual sight knows that the cessation of earthly life gives man a new beginning in another, supernal life.

Four Steps to Paying It Forward!

Four Steps to Paying It Forward!

How can one ordinary person—you or me—make a positive difference in this world by paying it forward? While these four steps might be simple, the outcome could create a sense of luck and good will that changes the world.

1. Be attentive wherever you are for opportunities to help someone.

Perhaps you have an elderly or disabled neighbor who is too proud to ask for help with their yard work or maybe you’re in a restaurant and see someone who looks like they could use some kind stranger to pay for their meal. You can change people’s attitudes about the world through your unobtrusive acts of kindness.

2. Do something nice for someone you don’t know (or don’t know very well).

It should be something significant, and not for a person from whom you expect a good deed—or anything at all, for that matter—in return.

3. Spread the word.

If the person thanks you and wants to “repay” you (that is, pay it “back”), let them know that what you’d really like is for them to pay it “forward”—you’d like them to do something nice for three people they don’t know, and ask those three people to do something nice for three more people. The idea is to consciously increase the goodness of the world.

4. Pay it forward.

When you notice that somebody has done something nice for you, make a note in your mind to practice three acts of kindness towards other people.

Practicing the “pay it forward” principle will make you alert to unexpected kindness from strangers toward you, and you may find yourself becoming more grateful for everyday kindness and consideration from people you don’t even know.

Balance

Balance

The material and the spiritual are but two parts of one universe and one truth. By over stressing one part or the other, man fails to achieve the balance necessary for harmonious development.

Life is expressed in a threefold way: through thoughts, desires, and actions. Rightly guide all three forms of expression and they will lead you to a higher state of consciousness. In your activities you are the creator, the preserver, the transformer; your will is the director. Practice the art of living in this world without losing our inner piece of mind. Follow the path of balance to reach the inner wondrous garden of self-realization.
